Students' comments

...I found the instructors to be excellent at diagnosing my strengths and weakness and providing the exercises and conversation that has improved my language skills.
The teachers were excellent, and the school provided interesting cultural activities in enchanting San Cristobal de Las Casas...

Methodology & Language Evaluation

Teaching Method

Our approach to language learning is dynamic and personalized. All of our native-tongue teachers have several years of experience and have been well versed in all modern methodologies of foreign language instruction through International House certification in teaching Spanish as a second language. These methods are used, often in combination, with strong regard for the individual needs of each student or group.

Student Exchange

Take advantage of an exciting opportunity:
we have many local Mexican students in our English language programs and as our student, you have the opportunity to arrange a chat or exchange with native speakers.

Cultural Activities

Cultural activities are an important part of our teaching philosophy. We aim to give you a well-rounded education of both language and culture. Activities and guided visits to museums and local points of interest are offered complimentary to all of our students.

Material & Homework

We use a range of up-to-date multimedia study materials in class. Use of all of these materials and photocopied class handouts are included in the cost of your classes. You will be assigned a manageable amount of homework after every class.

Teacher Rotation

For students taking intensive Spanish courses and for long-term students, we feel that it is important to rotate teachers so that you can become accustomed to speaking with people with different accents, voices, pronunciation and vocabulary.

Class

Each hour of class time is equivalent to fifty minutes of class with ten minutes of recess.

Language Levels

We offer Spanish courses to students of all language levels from absolute beginners to very advanced speakers. We evaluate six levels in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
